• Merits of measurement: After being used as a mold, casting sand is crushed and the lost constituent (bentonite, etc.) and moisture are replenished, allowing it to be reused. moisture at the time of recovery is about 2% H2O, but when used as replay sand, it needs to be about 3% H2O. moisture measurement makes it possible to control the strength of the mold, which depends on the slight difference in moisture content at this time.
• Key point: By measuring moisture at the time of recovery, the amount of additives, etc. can be set in advance. Also, if the color gradually becomes black due to additives during recovery and replay, calibration curve can be changed to deal with this.
