Sheathed thermocouples have a thermocouple wire inserted inside a metal protective tube (sheath) and are sealed and filled with inorganic insulation material (high-purity magnesium oxide) powder. They have excellent insulation, airtightness, and responsiveness, and are extremely durable even when used continuously for long periods of time at high temperatures or in a variety of hostile atmospheres.

  • Wide range temperature measurement
    We offer K, N, E, J, and T thermocouples, enabling a wide range of temperature measurement from (-)200°C to 1050°C. In addition, the sheath outer diameter ranges from ultra-thin φ0.1mm to φ8.0mm, making them suitable for a wide range of applications, such as temperature measurement in narrow spaces or small objects, heat treatment furnaces, and chemical plants.
  • Excellent earthquake resistance and corrosion resistance
    The space between the sheath and the wire is sealed with insulation, so the wire is securely protected. It has excellent vibration resistance and corrosion resistance, and can be used continuously under high temperatures and high pressures.
  • Fast responsiveness
    The sealed structure using insulation material and ultra-thin shape of φ0.1 mm have an extremely small heat capacity and respond quickly to both sudden and minute temperature changes.
  • High temperature sheathed thermocouples available
    We offer sheathed thermocouples for high temperatures (protective tube material: Chino Alloy B, Chino Alloy X) that have dramatically improved durability at high temperatures. Compared to the protective tube material NCF600, it has excellent stability * at high temperatures and is more than five times more durable.
    *These are test results in an oxidizing atmosphere at 1100℃ and do not guarantee the product's lifespan.
