Social Contribution Activities

Contribution to the local community

The CHINO Group's social contribution activities aim to contribute to the development of local communities and the resolution of social issues through various initiatives while deepening relationships of trust with stakeholders.

We communicate the wonder and fun of science to local children by cooperating with work experience programs for junior high school students and holding experiment and craft classes for elementary school students.

Additionally, the Fujioka Plant opens its baseball field and tennis courts to youth baseball teams and tennis club members. Furthermore, the baseball field has been registration as a landing site for doctor helicopters since fiscal 2017, contributing to the improvement of emergency medical care for the local community.

The latest status of our initiatives can be found in the Chino Report 2023.

Senkoukai Activities

Since 1973, we have been working to contribute to the local community through the activities of the "Senkoukai," an employee social club whose basic philosophy is a sense of solidarity among employees and service to society. Every year, Senkoukai arranges for donations and carries out activities to support the lives of people with physical disabilities. Since the establishment of Senkoukai, blood donation vehicles have been dispatched to our Fujioka, Kuki, and Yamagata offices and head office with the cooperation of the Japanese Red Cross Society, and employees and neighbors have participated in blood donation activities.

A place for hands-on experiences (Chino Biotop Forest)

In September 2018, Chino Biotop Forest (within the Fujioka Facility) was certified by Gunma Prefecture as a "place offering opportunities for experience in environmental education, etc." based on the Environmental Education Promotion Act.

Approximately 100 local elementary school students visit the biotope four times a year to participate in environmental studies (nature observations and nature games) as part of the "experience opportunity space" activities, learning about the differences in plants and animals that occur during the different seasons.

The latest status of our initiatives can be found in the Chino Report 2023.
