There are class 1 and class 2 K thermocouples, and looking at the JIS standard table, class 1 is listed as up to 1000°C, and class 2 is listed as up to 1200°C. Are the measurable temperatures different depending on the class?
Class 1 and Class 2 refer to different levels of accuracy, not the range of temperatures that can be measured.
The temperature range guaranteed by JIS differs depending on the class. Class 1, 1000°C and above, is outside the JIS standard, so accuracy is not guaranteed, but temperature measurement is possible.
