Operational Status
The transport company in this case transports food to a major restaurant chain, and installs an MD8000 transmitter (external thermistor model) inside the refrigerated/freezer vehicle to measure the temperature inside the vehicle during transport and data logging. When the refrigerated/freezer vehicle returns to the base and is able to communicate with the receiver, wireless communication is established, the recorded data is collected, and the data is centrally managed on a PC connected to the receiver.
Benefits
Previously, each time data recorded by the logger needed to be downloaded, a person in charge had to retrieve the logger and carry it to a PC connected to a data reader to download the data. With the introduction of the MD8000 series wireless watcher, data downloading can be done by setting the data logging cycle (every 3 hours/every day) on application software, and when the transmitter and receiver are within a communication distance, the data stored in the transmitter is downloaded to the receiver without human intervention, improving work efficiency and preventing data loss due to operation when downloading data.
