• Merit of measurement: After applying a thin layer of oil to various steel plates to prevent rust, an oil amount meter is installed to measure the amount of oil applied. This allows you to control the optimal amount of oil applied, thereby reducing costs.
• Key point: Because the oil film thickness is thin, less than a few micrometers, it is measured with an ultra-thin thickness gauge that uses long wavelengths (infrared) to improve measurement sensitivity and also employs a P-polarized light method that is compatible with the phenomenon of optical interference. In the case of double-sided coating, two gauges are used, one for the front and one for the back, for measurement.
