IR-URN measures temperature by adjusting current flowing through the filament while observing with the naked eye so that the color of the filament of the bulb built into the main unit matches the color of the object being measured. IR-URN can measure a wide range of temperatures from 700 to 3500°C by switching between three ranges: L, M, and H.
