I am using a K-type thermocouple to measure temperature, but will there be any abnormalities if I connections the positive and negative terminals in reverse?

Since the thermocouple and compensation wire have positive and negative poles, the abnormality will differ depending on which wire is connected in reverse, but in either case, the measurement will not be correct. Please connections the wires correctly.
